Educating people on how to get the best out of their aquarium is just as important to us as maintaining it for them. I was contacted by Jay as he was struggling to maintain his aquarium and losing fish. He had a real interest in the hobby and really wanted to keep fish successfully. However he was being given a huge amount of different information on fish keeping, often contradicting, so didn't know what to do.
I visited the aquarium and gave it a full service from top to bottom, but most importantly, explaining what I was doing and why. Taking time to explain how an aquarium works and what all the equipment does provides a much better picture of why maintenance is so important.
Not only did I leave a much cleaner, healthy aquarium, but I also left someone really excited about keeping an aquarium.... and already looking for something bigger!
