Judi has been a customer of mine for many years and had a leak in her aquarium she has had for over 10 years. The aquarium had started leaking in the middle of the night and Judi was in a real panic. She had no idea what to do with her fish, including an 8" clown loach she had for almost 10 years! She needed time to remove everything and look for a new aquarium, but with a full-time job and hectic lifestyle, she didn't have many opportunities to do so.
Well, it's a good job she came to me!
I visited her property and completely emptied the aquarium. Removing all of her gravel, removing all of the livestock and plants, draining the water and removing her filter media.
We rehoused the fish along with her filter material for several days whilst Judi chose her new aquarium and set it up. A Juwel Rio 125, slightly larger than her old one.... perfect excuse for a bigger aquarium (her words not mine!)
By storing her old aquarium filter media and transferring it to her new system, we were able to reintroduce all of Judi's fish back into her nice new aquarium in one go.
Regular water testing and carefully controlling the amount of food going into the system, has allowed Judi's new aquarium to flourish.
I think you will agree, Judi's new aquarium looks great.
